Rishi is very much there. Sanjay Dutt plays the main villain Kancha Cheena (essayed by Danny Denzongpa in the original) while Rishi is playing Haji -- a grey character specially conceived by director Karan Malhotra.
Hrithik Roshan looks up to Haji and wants to become like him. While Sanju is an out-and-out ruthless villain in the remake, Rishi's character is grey."
