First look of Shor In The City

After the major success of films like ‘Love, Sex Aur Dhokha’ and ‘Once Upon A Time InMumbai’, Ekta Kapoor is ready with her next venture ‘Shor In the City’, a dark comedy.
The first look of the film , which stars Tusshar Kapoor, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Preeti Desai, Radhika Apte, Pitabosh and Nikhil Diwedi is out now.
The first poster has a teal-coloured background with scratch effects and a graphic representation of the film’s characters. The depiction of Mumbai’s skyline in the poster is meant to indicate that the city plays a major role in the film.
The film has been helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. and is slated to hit the screens April 28

Why Is Sonam Kapoor Missing From The Promos Of Thank You?

Since Sonam Kapoor's debut in 2007 with Saawariya, her films have always had live sound but with her latest film Thank You, she had a new experience. For this film she had to dub her lines for the first time. The actress has been in the studio dubbing her lines but apparently it is taking longer than expected and it is causing delays in other areas.

The promos for the film have been hitting the airwaves but Sonam has been conspicuously absent. However, there is an explanation until Sonam finishes her dubbing she cannot be featured in the promos of Thank You.

Anees Bazmee has confirmed that Sonam's dubbing is taking longer than expected and has explained there is another reason why the actress is missing from the promos, "Actually, there was some shooting left," he went on to say. "Once we are done with it, we'll release her promos."

Thank You also stars Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan, Celina Jaitley and Rimi Sen. Ronnie Screwvala and Twinkle Khanna are the producers. It set to be released on 8th April.

I’ve lost more than seven kg for films: Preity Zinta

 After two years’ break from acting, Preity Zinta has decided to wear the grease paint, but before that she has to get back in shape .
‘This year for me is about getting back into movies and the entertainment industry. I had let myself go for some time because I had taken a break. I had put on seven-and-a-half kg. But then I lost all of it because I can’t afford to look like that in a film,’ Preity told IANS.
Asked to reveal the names of the projects she is working on, the 36-year-old declined.
‘I’ll start working on films this year for sure, but my lips are sealed. Announcement will come from the producers. But I’ll be doing some real cool films,’ she added.

Sabrina Dhawan as a writer For 2 States

Making an adaptation can be a longer process than a straight film and it seem that is once again true with Vishal Bharadwaj's film based on the book by Chetan Bhagat, 2 States. The film, which has Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role has been in talks for quite some. The latest update is our Bollywood Ka Baadshah and Comedy Kingpin Producer want to turn it into a bilingual aimed at the global market.

Although Chetan Bhagat was approached to write the script, Sajid Nadiadwala, producer of the film has told Times of India Chetan is not writing the script and they are looking to push the film into the worldwide realm of cinema. "Yes, we're looking at 2 States as a project with a much wider reach than our other films, as it has the potential to break through boundaries. We've got Sabrina Dhawan on board to write the screen adaptation." So who is Sabrina Dhawan you may ask. For those that remember the 2001 smash success by Mira Nair, Monsoon Wedding, it is the same Sabrina Dhawan that has been given the task as writer for 2 States.

So with Chetan out of the picture and claiming ignorance to the change while maintaining he is busy with his latest book, Sajid clarifies that progress is definitely being made. "Sabrina and Vishal are now in Delhi working on the script. We'll finalize the casting after the script is done. It should take about a month as we're going on floors in July," says the Housefull producer.

Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth to act together after 20 years

After 20 long years, we will again get to see two superstars sharing screen space. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a cameo in Rajinikanth’s ‘Rana’. It is buzz that Big B will be doing some scenes in the second half. The detail about his role has been kept under wrap.

In the movie , Rajinikanth will do triple role. Young Rajinikanth will be romancing Deepika Padukone, middle-aged Rajini will be playing Vidya Balan’s beau and the old Rajinikanth will be seen opposite Rekha.

In the past, the both superstars shared screen space in 'Andha Kanoon' and 'Giraftar'. The last time they were seen together in Late Director Mukul Anand's 'Hum' in 1991.

Yash Raj’s discovery Anushka Sharma is making headlines when it comes to both her professional and personal endeavors. The stunner, who has been allegedly dating her ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ co-star Ranveer Singh is gung ho about Ranbir Kapoor these days.
Anushka, who made her debut romancing King Khan, had confessed on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ that she would love to date kid Kapoor. And while she was talking about her dream date, her then beau Ranveer was sitting by her side.

Veena Malik meets beau Ashmit’s parents and sister Amisha

Controversy stricken Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who rose to fame by indulging in sleazy acts with her co-inmate Ashmit Patel in the ‘Bigg Boss 4’ house, is planning to make Mumbai her second home. Buzz has it that she met Ashmit’s parents and his sister Amisha recently. 
Talking to a daily, Veena said, "Considering I`ve six homes in Pakistan, I think one in Mumbai is only fair. I need a big home, at least one extra room for my shoes and clothes." 
However, Veena preferred to remain tight-lipped about her marriage plans with Ashmit. But she does admit that she is very much in love with him. 
"It`s difficult to answer right now. Marriage is like death. You never know when it strikes," said Veena. The lady from across the border and the Indian actor have been spotted at almost every social gathering since their ‘Bigg Boss’ stint. Ashmit had even thrown a lavish party to celebrate Veena’s birthday. 
"It`s really early to consider a life together. What exists between Ashmit and me is special. His is the most dialed number on my phone. In many ways, yes, I love him,” added Veena. Are we seeing another Veer-Zaara in the making? Only time will tell.

Salman miffed with Aamir for the M-word

Aamir Khan's latest comment about Salman Khan regarding his marriage has not gone well with the hunk. The question of marriage frustrated Salman and again his best pal has raised the issue which irked Sallu miya.

On his birthday, Aamir was asked as who among the 40-plus actors would he like to see married?

To which Aamir smiled and replied - “I am looking forward to the day when Salman gets married. He has so many good-looking girls roaming around him.”

When it reached to Sallu, he did not express his displeasure but the M-word always irritate him.  

A source close to Salman talking to a daily said - “Salman bhai knows about the fact that Aamir has asked him to get married. He thinks now everybody will ask him the same question that Aamir has triggered. He will obviously give a corny and sarcastic answer to that one. I think Aamir has been telling this to Salman bhai earlier also. So he is not really amused with the remark.”

However, the source added, “Bhai has reacted to the statement but only with a joke to Aamir. He also wished him on his birthday.”

Madhuri demands 5 cr for a film

Madhuri Dixit’s recent visit to India raises heartfelt desire for the filmmakers to cast her again but on listening to her demand, they stepped back. Madhuri Dixit  who is married for the last 12 years and a mother of the two, whose comeback pad ‘Aaja Nachle’ badly doomed at the box office quotes a whopping price. She demands 5 crore for a film which is equal the amount of Kareena Kapoor  and Priyanka Chopra.

It's true that she is in her 40’s and even today she holds the same charm and can give a run for money to superstars like SRK  and Salman Khan but quoting such a heavy amount is unjustified. She has showed her prowess in the reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’

Rikku, her manager confirms, "Yes, Madhuri has asked for five crores. We feel she is definitely worth the price she is quoting. She is a superstar with an enviable fan following even today. So, why shouldn`t she ask for what she deserves? We are sure the filmmakers will gain from the fact that Madhuri Dixit is making a film with them."  

Now the question is whether any producers would fulfill her hefty amount, A trade analyst says, “Who will give Madhuri five crores now?”

John Abraham weds Genelia D’Souza!

Don’t draw any wrong conclusion with the headline. Actually, John Abraham and Genelia D’souza almost got married not in real but in reel. The duo ended up tying the knot if a unit member does not interfere and stop the local maharaj from chanting anymore mantras. It all happened on the set of Vipul Shah’s ‘Force’ where John and Genelia was shooting a wedding sequence.

A source said, “We were shooting in Malshej Ghat and there was this old temple where we had got a local maharaj for the wedding sequence. Unfortunately the pandit has never witnessed a wedding and did not understand the concept of ‘cut’ and ‘action’ while shooting. It was a multi-camera set-up and so we needed to have minimum shots. However whenever Nishikant Kamath would say cut, the pandit would not stop. Finally after the sixth phera someone from the unit realized that the mantras were real and if not stopped John and Genelia would be actually married. So, they were stopped before the final round.”

When contacted the director of the film, Vipul Shah said, “Actually it was a funny thing. The local pandit could not understand the dynamics of the shoot and insisted on completing the pheras. After the sixth phera, everyone burst out laughing as they realized that they would actually be married. John and Genelia then realized this too and burst out laughing. However the maharaj kept insisting that they complete the pheras and it was difficult to explain to him that we cannot do this. We also did not want to hurt his sentiments and did not want to be disrespectful towards him. The good part was that the scene came out beautifully as John and Genelia were laughing and smiling, all thanks to the pandit.”

Rani Mukherjee to romance Prithviraj

Another South sensation is going to conquer Hindi film industry. He is none other than hunk Prithviraj. If the latest rumor is to be believed the actor is going to romance Rani Mukherjee in his Bollywood debut. It’s a golden chance that at the first take, Prithviraj will be paired opposite talented Bengali babe Rani.

The untitled project will be directed by acclaimed Marathi director Sachin Kundalkar. Interestingly, it will also be Sachin’s first Bollywood venture. Prithviraj is looking forward to the release of his highly anticipated film, ‘Urumi’. The film will hit the theatre on March 31, 2011.

Katrina is ready for wedding vows but Ranbir is reluctant!

Ranbir and Katrina tried all possible things to keep their relationship under wraps. But as they say, there’s no smoke without fire, their secret public appearances did give the shutterbugs all the reason to conclude that they were indeed dating! But that is a thing in the past. 
Rumours have it that the couple has split. While many cite Nargis Fakhri as the reason behind the break up, sources close to the couple indicate that there were other reasons behind the breakup. Sources state that Katrina wants to tie the nuptial with junior Kapoor but the sexy young man is hell bent on avoiding marriage. 
Incidentally, Nargis is Ranbir’s ‘Rockstar’ co-star, with whom RK is having a gala time. And his proximity to the newbie created a lot of issues for Kat.
Talking to a daily, a source revealed, "It was only incidental that Ranbir`s fondness for Nargis increased recently. However, what has really distanced him from Katrina is her demand that they get married, by March 2012, if not December 2011. She clearly told him that they should tie the knot in a year`s time." 
But Katrina is in no mood to admit that she is desperate to marry Kapoor kid. Denying this news, the hottie said, "These rumours are embarrassing, ugly, a million miles from the truth, beyond fiction. The so-called people close to me who are saying these things actually have no proximity to me. Ranbir is a friend, but there is nothing beyond. So there is no question of my breaking up with him or asking for marriage."

Big B to host IPL 4 opening ceremony

According to the latest grapevine, Amitabh Bachchan has been roped to host the opening ceremony of IPL 4. The three companies bidding to stage the ceremony desperately wants Big B on board.

Other than Big B, the IPL governing council has also shown eagerness to include actor Aamir Khan to co-host with Big B. Both Aamir and Big B are unavailable for their suitable comments.

Well, if both the superstars are roped in to host the show then the outcome will be mere spectacular

Munni enters Guinness Book of World Records

The Munni mania seems to be far from over. After creating mass hysteria all over, the chartbuster from Dabangg- 'Munni Badnaam Hui' now finds its way to the coveted Guinness Book of World Records. Wondering how and why? Well here's the story...

Producer Arbaaz Khan, who is currently in Australia, spoke exclusively to Bollywood Hungama giving us details on this achievement. He said, "Over 1200 people danced non-stop to 'Munni Badnaam' at Melbourne park beating the earlier record which was set in Singapore when 1008 people danced publicly to a song. The Guinness Book adjudicators were present and so it qualifies as a record. We now enter the Guinness Book for this distinction." 

Gul Panag to wed on Sunday!

Gul Panag will wed her former classmate and friend of ten years, airline pilot Rishi Attari on Sunday.

The couple will have a traditional Punjabi marriage in Chandigarh, which will be attended by close friends and family.

Shilpa's low and skimpy dresses too hot to handle for us

The sex siren was scrapped from celebrity invitee list after writers criticised her for exposing her navel while starring in two Kannada films

Following close on the heels of the recent displeasure expressed by writers over Infosys chief N R Narayana Murthy inaugurating the Viswa Kannada Sammelana (World Kannada Meet), another noted personality faces their ire for a very different reason.
Writers preferred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as special invitee and perfect representative of Kannada pride outside the state, as opposed to Shilpa Shetty, because they think that the latter is known for her skimpy dressing sense.

The list

Shilpa has acted in Kannada films including Preethsod Thappa and Auto Shankar. But, the writers were not happy with her because of her steamy scenes and she exposing her navel while draped in a sari. They added that while she was a celebrity outside the state, she could not be seen as the pride of the state.
Deepika Padukone was also short listed along with Aishwarya and Shilpa as these glam dolls of Hindi filmdom are from the Tulu speaking part of Karnataka. But, since she was currently out of India and since the orthodox writers did not favour Shilpa, former Miss World Aishwarya was a clear winner.


Organisers speak

However, organisers sought to decline that skimpy dress sense was the criteria saying that Aishwarya was always the proffered choice.
A source from the organising committee requesting anonymity said "We prefer Shilpa to other Bollywood stars since she has acted in Kannada movies and connects well with the Kannada audience. But some writers are not comfortable with the idea and plans have been changed just to avoid controversy."
"Shipla Shetty was in the list, but we could not include everyone because of the space and time limit. Also, security was another major concern and we decided that Aishwarya would be the only invitee among all the film stars, " said Prabhakara Kore, working president of the meet. "I hope she will speak Kannada when she greets the audience, " Kore added.


'Ash no different'

Tara, Kannada film actress and a member of the BJP, was irked. She said, "It is ridiculous to reject anyone for their onscreen dressing. We have to be mature enough to see an actor beyond their onscreen roles.
If we say Shilpa was seen in revealing clothes, then Aishwarya is no exception as she has been seen in steamy scenes as well."
"Shilpa or Deepika are a better choice since both have acted in Kannada movies unlike Aishwarya, who has none to her credit, " she said. She also added that while people have heard Shilpa and Deepika speaking Kannada, no one she knew could vouch for Aishwarya.
I M Vittalmurthy, special officer of the meet, said, "Not that we have ignored other achievers by inviting Aishwarya alone. We have selected her as a representative of all of them."

Kareena Kapoor joins Shakti campaign, bats for women

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has agreed to support NDTV’s campaign Shakti, aimed at fighting violence against women.

Kareena feels very strongly for the cause of women’s emancipation, and hopes for their betterment in India, according to a source close to the actress.

The 30-year-old is especially appalled with the way women, irrespective of their socio-economic status, have become so vulnerable. She is trying to persuade citizens to sign a special petition to be presented to President Pratibha Patil as part of the campaign.

“Kareena feels that this will help spread widespread awareness amongst the common man,” said a source.

A spokesperson on behalf of NDTV said the channel is glad with Kareena’s support.

“Kareena Kapoor joining NDTV for the Shakti campaign is a major boost for us, because she represents the modern, fearless woman of today and her endorsement will enable others who look up to her as a role model to speak out as well.”

The campaign was launched as part of the 100th International Women’s Day Tuesday.

Release dates don’t matter for good films – Abhishek Bachchan

Although April is being considered a risky month to release films because of cricket tournaments like World Cup and IPL and school exams on top of that, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is unperturbed even though two of his films are being releasing next month.

April 1 will see murder mystery “Game” hitting the marquee and then April 22 is the turn of thriller “Dum Maaro Dum”.

“I really believe that it’s something we’ve just made up for ourselves. If you make a quality product, no matter what period of the year it is. People will watch it and we have hundreds of examples to prove that.

“I think its completely to do with the fact that whether we can excite the audience enough. We are blessed that our audiences are so passionate about films. Its almost a part of their daily life where it is very hard to resist going and watching a film,” Abhishek told reporters here.

“We have more than a billion people in this country. Not everyone is going to watch cricket. Even if half of them watch cricket the other half will watch the movie,” he added.

The actor also admitted that he is very excited about both his films.

“‘Game’ is a film that i’m very excited about because it’s my first film with two very dear friends of mine (Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani). We’ve been waiting very long for the right script to come, I’ve really enjoyed making this film. It’s a genre that I really enjoy. It’s a whodunit murder mystery and I always wanted to do such a film and we have shot at some really nice places,” he revealed.

“As well as ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, which is made by Rohan Sippy is also a great film. It’s our third film together.

“Both films are exciting. As an actor my job is to act in the film. The release dates are not decided by me. As far as i’m concerned. Two films which are very close to me are releasing in a month, so i’m excited,” he added.

Abhishek, also ruled out the news that there are similarities between the two films.

“The only similarity between the two films is that I’m in them and April being the month of release. No other parallel at all,” he said.

Sonakshi Sinha Fem’s new brand ambassador

“Dabangg” actress Sonakshi Sinha has been appointed as the brand ambassador for cosmetic brand Fem Fairness Bleach. Fem is a product of Dabur India, which has recently acquired it.

“As a consumer, I have been associated with Dabur for years now. So, it gives me great pleasure to be associated with a large beauty brand with a stature of Fem and be the face for the brand,” said Sonakshi.

This is not the first time the 23-year-old has endorsed a cosmetic brand. Earlier she replaced actress Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador for beauty soap brand Dyna.

Riding high on the success of “Dabangg”, the actress is busy shooting for Shirish Kunder’s “Joker” along with Akshay Kumar.

How Vidya Balan’s bikini photo was morphed

A picture of Vidya Balan from a photoshoot for lensman Dabboo Ratnani (left above) was used to morph into a bikini pic of the actress.
The prankster who morphed the image first tilted Vidya’s original photo anti-clockwise (as done above) and then, with the use of simple photoshop tools, copied her face from the original photo and pasted it onto another photo of a bikini model. He/she carefully added the hair extensions in the bikini pic, again through copy-paste tool.
So if you look carefully at the two images above, you’ll see that the source of the second pic was the this particular one.

Meiyang Chang – Winner Of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 4

Meiyang Chang, the dentist from Dhanbad has come a long way from one of the contestants in Indian Idol 3 to ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 4′ winner.
Meiyang won the Sony TV’s most popular celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 4′ after defeating Sushant Singh Rajput and Yana Gupta last night.

The young, talented singer-actor-host impressed the judges as well as the audience through his power packed performances winning the highest votes. He was awarded the prize by Madhuri Dixit and Malaika Arora Khan. (All M’s ??)

Chang and his choreographer Marischa Fernandes bagged a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs each. Sushant Singh Rajput, pocketed the Most Spotless Performance Jodi honor and won a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.

All over between Ranbir & Katrina?

Ranbir and Katrina’s relationship had a rocky run from the very beginning. Their arguments constantly revolved around insecurity and loyalty issues. Katrina felt Ranbir wasn’t giving her enough time, while he felt extremely stifled towards the end. After her split from Salman, Katrina wanted to give her relation with Ranbir everything. There was even a time when she contemplated going public.
But then, things took turn for the worse. Enter his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri, a Kingfisher calendar girl, who along with her looks had the right attitude to attract RK’s attention. A source spills the beans on how things went down, “It wasn’t a surprise for anyone.
They had been arguing and fighting for over a month. When the new gal got in the frame, it only got worse. Kat was totally against him spending time with her. There were times when he was with Fakhri and wouldn’t pick up Katrina’s calls. He said they were meeting to see the film’s rushes, but later she realised he was just making excuses to spend time with her.”

What seemed like mere infatuation at the start, turned serious when Nargis got a chance to visit the Kapoor household in Delhi. The source adds, “When Ranbir took her to his sister Riddhima’s place it was a big step. It upset Kat that he was introducing her to his family when they were still going around. She felt like he was two-timing her with Nargis.”
It is believed that Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone’s interest in acting with him was also a bone of contention for Kat. She was extremely upset with the news that Deepika might be doing Ayan Mukherji’s next with RK. Even though RK and Deepika have got over each other, Kat wasn’t pleased with the idea that they would be working together in the same film. She even expressed her apprehensions to Ayan who told her he hadn’t finalised anyone yet.
Ranbir has been spotted partying hard with Nargis at her birthday bash in a Bandra nightclub, where the two were seen getting cozy.

Deepika Padukone won’t perform at India-South Africa match

The title track of the film “Dum Maaro Dum” will be launched during the crucial India-South Africa match in Nagpur Saturday, but actress Deepika Padukone, who features in the song, will not perform at the event.

More than 45,000 people are expected to attend the match at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, so Sippy had requested Deepika if she could perform live? But the 25-year-old is unable to do as she is busy with the shooting of “Aarakshan” in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

“Unfortunately, Deepika Padukone is shooting for ‘Aarakshan’ in Bhopal and doesn’t have time to rehearse as she would land on same day in Nagpur. She expressed her regret as it would be very difficult for her to perform in front of a 45,000 plus crowd without any rehearsals. The song is extremely dance oriented and needs to be well orchestrated with a troupe of dancers,” a source told IANS.

So finally, the “Dum Maaro Dum” team will launch the song in the mid break after the first innings.

Sippy said: “Well it would have been extremely exciting if she had had time to rehearse and perform live in front of the audience. It would have given the song new energy. But we understand and have decided to showcase the song during half time in the match. It’s one of the most important matches we have.”

Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar, “Dum Maaro Dum” is directed by Rohan Sippy and Deepika is making a special appearance in the item song.

“Dum Maaro Dum” will hit the screens April 22. It revolves around six Indians who meet in Goa and their lives change after getting involved with the drug mafia.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies production house is no more a one-man show. In what seems to be major revision in his working methods, Shah Rukh, known to have his finger in every pie,has decided to delegate more authority and power to his extremely efficient colleagues and directors.
This critical decision must be weighed in the light of Shah Rukh’s decision to devote the most time to what he really loves doing the most: acting and being with his family.
Says a source close to SRK, “All these years Shah Rukh has been able to devote himself with equal passion to a number of activities both within his own production house and outside. But now he wants to focus on what he loves best. He wants to build his equity as an actor. At the same time he doesn’t want to miss out on his children’s growing years.” To implement his new energy-conservation policy Shah Rukh has withdrawn his responsibilities towards the post-production of Ra.1. 
Says the source, “Earlier whenever Shah Rukh produced films he was hand-on in every department.This time he has left the entire production and post-production in other professional hands,so much so that he hasn’t even watched the rushes of Ra1 as yet. As far as he’s concerned his job as an actor and producer in Ra1 is done. His team has now taken over.”
Most of Shah Rukh’s associates have observed that he has now become a team player.
Says a close friend, “Earlier he took personal charge of everything that flowed out of his production house.That has changed now. Maybe it’s the IPL effect on Shah Rukh. But he now insists on other professionals in his production house doing their jobs while he does his own.”
Director Anubhav Sinha confirms that Shah Rukh Khan has not seen the rushes of Ra1 yet.
“I’ve been persuading him to watch it. But he has been shrugging it off. As far as he’s concerned he’s moved on. ‘Picture ban gayi na. Now is the time to focus on its marketing,’ Shah Rukh told me.He has always been a restless soul. Now he is even more so.”
This refusal to rest on laurels and to linger on current production activities is an indication of the direction Shah Rukh’s life will take in the coming years.
It’s time for the superstar to let others in his company make their presence felt. It’s also time for the mega-star to stop being taken for granted.
For years Shah Rukh has played cameos,done guest appearances and voiceovers for friends and strangers. Now, we are told,he won’t be taken for granted.

Is Ranbir Kapoor no longer friends with Imran Khan?

 In Bollywood, friends turning foes is an old story and the latest B-town celebrity falling prey to this wily affectation is none other than Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan. Once thick friends, the two young actors are embroiled in an intense battle for Bollywood assignments and endorsement pie. 
Talking to a daily on Ranbir and Imran’s souring friendship, a source said, “When there are two actors eyeing the same position then there are bound to be problems. However the friendship between the two was too good to be true. Initially the first friction took place when Imran`s now wife and then fiancée made some comments about Ranbir while watching ‘Raajneeti’. However Imran picked up the phone and clarified everything and all was okay. Both the friends were so close to each other that they had also decided to start a production house; they were in talks with Imtiaz Ali to make a film with them . “It was Imran who started on a high note with a super hit in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, while Ranbir had a flop film in ‘Saawariya’. However they both have always been considered `youngsters to watch out for`. Imran suffered a setback with a couple of flops like ‘Luck’ and ‘Kidnap’ while Ranbir did some good work in semi hits ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Rocket Singh-Salesman of the Year’, the latter failing to even get a decent opening. Ranbir got his first big hit via ‘Raajneeti’ where he was also praised as an actor. Imran then got a huge hit with ‘I Hate Luv Storys’. The comparisons were clear. While Ranbir was known as an actor, Imran made his mark as a charmer,” said the source.
The source continued, “The friendship was growing and both of them even hosted the recently-concluded Filmfare Awards. Ranbir even attended Imran`s marriage party which was thrown by Aamir and everything seemed fine. However the biggest trigger was by a newspaper report which said that Ranbir was passing on all his rejected brands to Imran. The shocking part for Imran was that normally Ranbir calls him up to clarify. However in this case Ranbir did not and Imran was not at all happy. In many earlier instances, both Imran and Ranbir have been very particular to pick up the phone and clarify things as they did not want their friendship to suffer at all. However after the article, a series of articles followed from both ends making it very clear that both of them were out to outdo each other. While both the parties concerned are of the opinion that they do not have any issues with each other, there definitely seems to be something more than what meets the eye.
Interestingly, the source further added, “Another thing that worked against Ranbir was that while Imran was gaining popularity among his co-stars, be it Kareena, Katrina or Sonam, Ranbir was unfortunately linked to them. Imran in turns is every heroine’s favourte co-star.” 

Ranbir takes rickshaw ride after Hum Dono premiere

The premiere of the colourized yesteryear film Hum Dono saw a massive turnout of Bollywood bigwigs paying homage to the legendary star Dev Anand. Though the event was as star studded as the night sky on a moonless night, the younger generation namely Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali decided to paint the town black and yellow.
Passers by in Andheri were shocked on the night of the premiere to find the suave and stylish Ranbir Kapoor along with director Imtiaz Ali entering a rickshaw ala Salman Khan.

 It is learnt that after attending the 'rangeen' premiere of Hum Dono, Ranbir who was in a hurry to reach home couldn't wait for his car. The car which was parked in the basement seemed out of option as there was too much crowd outside the venue for the actor to wade through to reach the basement. 
It was then that Ranbir, along with director Imtiaz Ali, ran across the road, hailed a passing rickshaw, jumped into it and rushed for Bandra.

Sonakshi works out to look sexier

Daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha became an overnight star with the success of ‘Dabangg’. She has two promising projects lined up, one is Farah Khan’s ‘Joker’ and the other is Abbas Mustan’s ‘Race 2’. Both the film demands Sonakshi to look slimmer. So to look slimmer and sexier, Sonakshi begun to work out.  Abbas Mustan asked Sonakshi to lose few kilos and the new girl immediately went into action.

"First, I had to lose weight for my debut in 'Dabangg'. Now I've to get into even better shape for 'Joker' and 'Race 2'. For the last two years that's all I seem to be doing. Losing weight. But I am fine with that. Because it's important for me to look good,' said Sonakshi, 23.

In ‘Race’, Bipasha Basu looked hot and sexy and to match up to Bips, Sonakshi had to shed weight and look hot.

“Bipasha Basu was presented in a very striking way in Race. We've to make sure Sonakshi is equally presented in the sequel", says producer Ramesh Taurani.

Vidya Balan to romance Mohanlal

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has signed a Malayalam film opposite south superstar Mohanlal. The film titled, 'Arabiyum, Ottakavum, Madhavan Nairum'. It will be directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ashok Kumar, Jamal Al Nuaimi and Naveen Shashidharan under the banner of Jancos Entertainment.

The film has three heroines and Vidya is one among them. The other two actresses are Bhavana and Lakshmi Rai. This is Vidya Balan’s second Malayalam film. The other is a comedy based on the Indian diaspora living in the Gulf region.

Not only in Bollywood but Vidya is leaving her mark in regional films too. She is touted as one of the versatile actresses.

Bhumika Chawla’s marriage comes to an end

Actress Bhumika Chawla’s marriage is on the rock. She has filed divorce from husband Bharat Thakur. They are married for the last three years. The couple married after dating for four years. Bhumika is eager to break her marriage with Bharat after hearing Bharat's affair with a socialite. 

Though Bharat tried to convince Bhumika that those rumors are baseless, the actress refused to agree. He tried his level best to save the marriage but Bhumika is strict on her decision.

For a long time, the couple was not spotted together. Bhumika Chawla and Bharat Thakur married on 21 October 2007 at Devlali, Nashik in a Gurdwara.

The popular magazine Marie Claire has tagged Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan as India’s sexiest Man. This special valentine issue, Hrithik will scorch the cover page with his killer looks.

Since it is Valentine Day’s special , Hrithik Roshan will speak about love. Speaking about love, the handsome actor stated, “Love should be the first emotion you discover and learn and grow with”.

Like many superstar, Hrithik Roshan will also make his foray into television with dance reality show on Star Plus, ‘Just dance’. He will be paid 2 cr per episode.

Salman to romance Miss Universe 2010

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete who is an ardent fan of Bollywood hunk Salman Khan is going to make Bollywood debut in David Dhawan’s new film , ‘Partner 2’ opposite Salman.

The Mexican beauty is on a 10 day tour to India to promote designer Sanjana Jon's Celebrate The Girl Child Campaign. A reliable industry source reveals, "Ximena will romance Salman Khan in the Partner sequel. The makers were looking for the female lead in the film and felt that Ximena fits the bill but she will have to learn Hindi and some Bollywood dance moves for her role.

The model recently met Salman and has already started taking lessons in Hindi.

The New York-based fashion designer Sanjana Jon will style her clothes for the film.

Sanjana, who is close to both Salman and Ximena, has been instrumental in making this happen."

Ximena in an interview said that she is a huge fan of Salman Khan and also expressed her desire to work in Bollywood.

It would be a treat to watch Salman romancing a bedesi girl.

Sonakshi Sinha turns item girl for Farah Khan

According to the latest buzz, Sonakshi Sinha will do an item song for Farah Khan’s film . After Katrina Kaif, Farah will make Sonakshi dance to a grooving number. Farah has made Katrina shake her belly but it is yet to be confirmed what she has stored for Sonakshi.

Farah revealed her plans, “I’d love to make Sonakshi do something totally different and seductive soon. She is my next item girl post Katrina. She is also working in my home production next titled ‘Joker’”.

When asked whether Sonakshi will be doing belly dancing, Farah quipped, “Belly dancing is a big no no for Sonakshi!”

Surprisingly, Sonakshi has no idea about Farah’s intentions as she said, “She (Farah) hasn’t told me anything as yet! But I am sure if it’s Farah, it will be something big.”

Vidya shoots sex scene with Naseeruddin

After ‘Ishqiya’ Vidya Balan will again romance actor  Naseeruddin Shah in Milan Luthria’s ‘Dirty Picture’. The film is based on the life of sex icon of the South Indian film industry, Silk Smitha and Vidya Balan will essay the role of Silk Smitha and Naseer will be donning the role of film producer.

The film speaks about Silk Smitha’s relationship with the producer. After ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, this would be Milan Luthria’s second picture with producer Ekta Kapoor.

We all know Vidya performs sexy scene with full perfection. She totally gives herself to the steamy scene and ‘Ishqiya’ is a best example of her bold act.

Aamir to play villain in ‘Dhoom 3’

It is now decided. Aamir Khan will play a villain in the action movie , ‘Dhoom 3’ He has signed on the dotted line and the shooting of the film will start from this year end. ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Dhoom 2’ was a blockbuster and the makers said that 'Dhoom 3' will have triple dose of action and thrill.   

A source reveals, "Aamir will start shooting for the film by the year-end. He will work on his physique starting from April to get in character for the role."

Sticking to their roles, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will play Jai Dixit and Ali. This is the first time Aamir will play baddie in a film. This would be his third film with Yash Raj banner. Previously, he has worked with them in ‘Fanaa’ and ‘Parampara’.
