Shah Rukh might have given his nod to work with ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj but he wants to assure that their project is nothing short of a blockbuster. So now, the director-actor team has decided to copy a Hollywood super-hit to make sure they don’t go wrong.
As per reports, the two have struck a deal to make the official remake of Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Departed’, with SRK reprising the role of a cop originally played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to sources, SRK and Bhardwaj are keen on a joint production that will be the remake of ‘The Departed’. As of now the two are working out on the nitty-gritty’s to get the official rights from the international production house. As for Matt Damon`s role in the film, the two are yet to decide on anIndian actor for the remake.
However, presently the two taskmasters are busy with their other projects. While Shah Rukh is occupied with ‘Don 2’ and ‘Ra.One’, Vishal is completely dedicated to his film ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’. Sources suggest that the work on SRK-Bhardwaj’s joint film will only start towards the end of 2011.
