Shah Rukh wants comedy

Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan are set to come together for the remake of an '80s superhit comedy but with RS's consistent collaborator and buddy Ajay Devgn's blessings. Says our B-Town source, "Rohit and Shah Rukh have had a few meetings over the last few months since the release of Golmaal 3.
Shah Rukh loved G3 and approached the filmmaker to direct his endorsement ads for his production house Red Chillies. Incidentally, Rohit is also on its board of directors.
When the two met, the megastar expressed a desire that the director and he come together for a feature film. SRK told Shetty that he wanted to do a comic family entertainer and asked him to look around for a script."

The Golmaal director zeroed in on a hit '80s comic entertainer. "Rohit and Red Chillies have approached the producer of the hit film for remake rights. Negotiations are in progress and he hopes to finalise the deal soon. After that happens, the filmmaker and his team of his scriptwriters will begin work on the screenplay."
Rohit, being the straightforward person he is, didn't want close friend Ajay Devgn to hear about it from someone else. 
After meeting Shah Rukh, he met AJ at Mehboob Studios where the latter was shooting and apprised him of the situation.
The source adds, "Ajay is never upset about Rohit working with different actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh as he knows he can't suit every script and role.

Bigg Boss - Sara and Ali splits after her marriage in Bigg Boss

Their wedding was a spectacle on national television, but there is even more tamasha going on in the lives of Sara Khan and Ali Merchant now. Their marriage is going kaput! Buzz is that they are fed up of each other and want to go their separate ways.
Says a source, "Ever since the Bidaai actress made an exit from Bigg Boss, she had been squabbling with her hubby over monetary issues. This led to a huge showdown as Sara felt Ali had squandered her earnings."
Adds the source, "Sara who is now shooting for Ram Milaayi Jodi was shocked to know that Ali had turned extra extravagant when she was away in the house.
A few days ago, they had a massive argument leading to a bitter fight with Sara telling him to leave their Lokhandwala home. Ali has since then been staying with his parents."
Sara's official spokesperson confirms, "It's a personal matter but yes it's true. Sara and Ali are not together anymore.

Asin 'marries' Salman Khan!

The press in the South is claiming that Asin tied the knot with Salman Khan earlier this week in the presence of close friends. 
According to these reports, her parents weren't invited and stormed into the wedding mid-way and tried to stop it .
The actress sighs deeply when responding, "At last, the rumours are coming true. Salman and I are finally married. It's a first for both of us."
Too bad, it is only in a movie  (Anees Bazmee's Ready). But Salman can't stop joking about the "solemn" occasion.
"Hey guys, I've finally done it," Salman  has been shouting across the location at Film City to anyone in hearing distance.
The "news" of Asin's wedding has reached her native place Kerala.
When a local paper announced Asin's "marriage" with Salman with photographic evidence, the actress was flooded with congratulatory messages, with her  fan base and relatives in Kerala wondering why she  chose to marry without inviting near and dear ones.
She laughs, "You know, I'm quite enjoying the joke about my wedding. I've been in my bridal outfit taking the saat pheras, for a week now.
I almost feel I'm really married. The family opposition that is being talked about is also part of  the script."
Asin adds that she never knew that getting married was so much fun and adventure . She says, "I've gone through Malayali, Tamil and Telugu marriages.
But this is my first Punjabi wedding. And I love it. I even danced  at my sangeet to Laung Gawacha."
In fact, both Asin and Salman have decided they will get married Punjabi style, if and when it happens. "It's a pact. It will be a big fat Punjabi wedding."

February wedding for Lara-Hesh

Spilling the beans (pun intended) on popular chat show Koffee With Karan has become more the norm than the exception. 
The latest news from the sets is that Lara Dutta and fianc © Mahesh Bhupathi have confessed to KJo that they plan to tie the knot in February next year.
Says our source, "Lara and Hesh appeared on the show on Wednesday night. When the KWK host quizzed them about their relationship and romance, they spoke openly and even discussed marriage plans.
When Karan asked them outright about the marriage date, they promptly replied that it would be in February 2011 and that their families were in the process of fixing the date.
Lara even told KJo how the tennis ace proposed to her in New York on Sept 12 this year."
The couple even replied to queries regarding past relationships. Bhupathi was claimed to be the reason behind the actress dumping Dino Morea while some reports even said Lara was responsible for the divorce of Hesh  and model Shwetha Jaishankar.
"They spoke candidly about their respective exes and cleared the air on how those relationships were over before theirs started," reveals our source.
Dutta has been previously linked to model Kelly Dorje.
She has been seeing Bhupathi for the last year, ever since the doubles specialist separated from his wife in '09. Mahesh announced the engagement on his Twitter page.
The jodi got engaged when Hesh was in New York for the US Open and Lara was there for a magazine photoshoot .
Bhupathi's Big Daddy Productions and Lara's Bheegi Basanti Production are co-producing Challo Dilli along with Eros International. Recently, the first shooting schedule was completed last month.

'Tees Maar Khan' jingles at the UK box office

Bollywood's much awaited Christmas release 'Tees Maar Khan' seems to have received good response at the UK box office as the film is approaching a staggering 100,000 pounds declaring it to be one of the highest yielding Bollywood films in the UK so far.

For a few shows scheduled on December 21 and 22 at selected theatres 'Tees Maar...', directed by Farah Khan and starring Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has already grossed 71,623 pounds. "This makes the film already one of the highest previews ever for an Indian film in the UK," a release by the film producer said on Friday.

'Tees Maar...' sees actor Akshay Kumar essaying the role of 'half' Robinhood who robs rich people but gives nothing to poor with actress Katrina Kaif portraying the role of an aspiring actress. The film is produced by Three's Company, Hari Om Entertainment Company and UTV Motion pictures.

Rishi Kapoor – Karan Johar Spat Is Far From Over

An incident which took place yesterday night in Mumbai proved to the media that the Rishi Kapoor – Karan Johar spat which had started from Karan’s Koffee couch is far from over. According to reports in the media, Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu Kapoor walked out of an event after the name Karan Johar was mentioned in the questions which were asked to them by the media. The erstwhile star couple were guests at an event promoting the empowerment of women in India.

Media reports claim that Rishi Kapoor had requested the media from asking any personal questions and since they had chosen to ignore his requests, the actor too thought it better to walk out on them! The Rishi Kapoor – Karan Johar first started when celebrity guests Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, both linked to Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor, had some very interesting things to say to the audience of ‘Koffee With Karan’ about the philandering ways of Ranbir. Daddy Kapoor is of the opinion that it was in the hands of Karan Johar to stop such comments from being aired on national television. Though Ranbir Kapoor himself admitted to the fact that he cheated on his partner in the past in yet another episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’, relationships between some Bollywood families had already started rotting by then.

Though it was reported a few days back that Karan Johar had made up with the actor by sharing with him a warm hug, Rishi Kapoor’s and Neetu Kapoor’s behavior last night clearly showed that the troubles are far from over.

Salman Khan And Hrithik Roshan: Hugs And The Patch Up

Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan have had quite a lot of things to say about each other which have been anything but nice. The entire mudslinging had started with Salman Khan saying that such movies like Guzaarish that have social messages generally don’t do well commercially, giving a couple of his movies as examples that had not done well despite being great films but which were not fully commercially viable.

Now this had not gone down well with Hrithik Roshan who plays the lead role of a paraplegic in ‘Guzaarish’. Thus, there was a counter reaction from Hrithik saying that Salman Khan was pompous. Well this might have been too much for the hunk Salman Khan to bear so he had gone on to get even with Hrithik by setting the release date of his next film Ready along with Hrithik’s forth coming Zindagi Na Milegi Do Bara. Well, such were the reports doing the rounds.

However recently all gossip mongers were in for a shock as Salman Khan and family had invited Hrithik Roshan for Sohail Khan’s birthday held recently in Mumbai. Wonder of wonders- Hrithik Roshan did go to the bash; he was received with a warm welcome and a big hug by Salman Khan himself. That was it- from then onwards the two hunks Salman and Hrithik gelled extremely well, making the two seem like absolutely inseparable twins.

Reports are that Salman had Hrithik stay back for a longer time than he was scheduled to and that was sort of like the cherry on the cake. Well, what would Sanjay Leela Bhansali have to say to that? We wonder....

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is in India on two-day visit and is currently in Mumbai, dropped in on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One yesterday. Says an onlooker, "The President has been having various meetings with B-Town personalities.
Yesterday, he came to sets of Ra.One to watch Kareena Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan rehearse for a song for the film. He requested to meet Raj Kapoor's grand daughter Kareena as Russians loved the actor."

Hrithik Roshan to Face His Wax Statue in January

Madame Tussauds is soon going to welcome another Bollywood star among his long list of wax statues and the latest one is none other than Bollywood’s ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan. The museum has kept the pose and detailing about the statue secret until it is unveiled on January 20, 2011.

The grand launch of the statue will take place in London next year and Hrithik will face his wax figure. The sculptors at the museum are now giving the final touches to the Bollywood star’s wax figure. No one knows how Hrithik has posed or what he has worn for the statue. So, it will be a pleasant surprise for the Hrithik fans when the statue is unveiled.

However, Madame Tussauds has promised that it will be one of their most daring figures ever and it will not disappoint the fans of the Bollywood star.

So, is there any guesses about Hrithik’s pose? Till date, Hrithik has looked best at his films Krrish, Jodha Akbar, Dhoom 2 and recently released Guzaarish. If he poses in his Krrish look, then we can expect to see his superhero avatar, Jodha Akbar will give the historic look of the actor. If he poses like his Dhoom 2 look then it will be reflect the heroic mood in him and Guzaarish look will give him the feel of a wonderful magician.

Shahrukh Khan: The Hindrance On The Path of ‘Tees Maar Khan’

It is less than a week after the release of Farah Khan’s third directorial venture ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and Farah Khan has a lot of things on her mind which is giving her sleepless nights. Though Farah Khan has been trying hard to brush away the Shah Rukh Khan factor in her life, her once best buddy is continuously haunting her. According to reports in the media, Shah Rukh Khan has now come in the way of the promotional campaigns of Farah Khan’s upcoming release ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

The media is abuzz with reports of the film being a flop because Farah Khan’s films are successful at the box office only because of the presence of SRK in them, and ‘Tees Maar Khan’ is an exception to that factor. While Katrina Kaif was doing well in attracting the attention of the audience, it seems that Shah Rukh Khan is hell bent upon proving to Farah Khan that she cannot do without him! It so happened that at the recently held Mumbai Police Mela, the Tees Maar Khan team was promoting their film on stage, when Shah Rukh Khan walked out of the auditorium with an entourage of ten bodyguards. He was probably leaving the function and on his way home.

And when it is Shah Rukh Khan, attention will naturally be diverted. Saif Ali Khan learns kickboxing for Agent Vinod

Saif Ali Khan is trying very hard to ensure Agent Vinod lives up to the hype. The actor, who has described the film as a mix of James Bond and Jason Bourne series, took kickboxing lessons for three months to get the correct body language and improve body co-ordination for the fight sequences .
The chota nawab trained with Ziauddin Khatib, a three-time world kickboxing champion, in Mumbai and in Goa. Says Khatib, "We trained for two to three hours daily. Saif was a very good student and trained religiously. He always came on time, though he had many things to handle(he is also producing the film). He even went beyond the training necessary to learn sparring so that it will give that extra edge to his fights."

Akshay Kumar demands Rs. 27 crore for film

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will probably be paid a whopping amount of Rs 27 crore by the Balaji Telefilms production house next year. According to reports circulating in the media, this is the amount that has been demanded by the daredevil actor from Ekta Kapoor’s production house after he was approached to play the role of Dawood Ibrahim in the sequel to this year’s successful movie Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The latest reports claim that Ekta Kapoor has requested Akshay Kumar to reconsider his fees because such a huge amount will make it difficult for the makers of the film to rake in any profits. But if reactions on the actor’s part are anything to go by, Akshay Kumar will not change his mind for Ekta Kapoor!

While most producers would have done away with the actor, Ekta Kapoor is not someone to accept defeat. The producer seems keen to work with only Akshay Kumar in her much awaited sequel. This means that Akshay Kumar will take over from where Emraan Hashmi had left the character of Shoaib Khan in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Emraan Hashmi’s character in the film had been loosely based on real life underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

The media is already abuzz with news of various people from within the industry questioning Akshay Kumar’s sudden fee hike even though he has not generated a hit for a long time. And it is not only the Khiladi Kumar, several other actors in Bollywood are also opting for a rise in their remuneration in the coming year. Akshay Kumar’s good friend Salman Khan is also among them.

Fraud allegations against Amisha Patel

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel’s uncle Nalin Patel has registered a police complaint against her. It relates to a property dispute between them, about a flat in the posh Prabhat Road area in Pune. Nalin claims that Ameesha tresspassed, took valuable articles and fled from the flat. The Pune Police are checking out the issue. The police say they’ve been asking the actress to record her statement, but that she hasn’t done this yet.

However, she has sent a letter through her lawyer, saying that she owns a share in the flat.
According to Nalin, his servant at the flat told him that a lady had come in, given him some cash, taken a lot of items from the house, loaded them in a vehicle and left. He says he found out later that it was Ameesha. He added that she was not answering his calls, also exposing that she’d claimed ownership of the house and asked for the house keys a few months ago.

Ameesha’s lawyer says that the actress’s uncle is making the allegations to damage her popularity. She herself has been mum about it all so far.

Mallya Junior and Deepika’s secret out

Deepika and Siddharth latest love-birds too seem to be in no mood to discuss their association in media anytime soon. Recently, Siddharth and Deepika were seen together at the premier of ‘KHJJS’. Mallya Junior escorted Deepika’s parents to their car and by the look of it parents have accepted the latest man in Deepika’s life.

But what verifies the speculations of them going around is Siddharth’s reluctance to sit in Deepika’s car in the presence of press. He was waiting for the cameramen to diverse so that he could speedily jump in to the seat next to her and zoom off.

Deepika Padukone in serious pain

According to reports in the media, Actress Deepika Padukone was in require of a physiotherapist on the sets of forthcoming movie Dum Maro Dum after her muscles rejected to budge from the strain that they had to go through for a duration of 6 days. Reports claim that it became not possible for Deepika Padukone to even stand straight on her feet.

The actress had apparently mastered the moves for the remixed version of the R D Buman composed track Dum Maro Dum for a period of 3 days under the guidance of choreographers Bosco and Caesar. Post rehearsal, Deepika Padukone had to movie the song for another three days. Dips was in so much pain that only medical aid could bring her back to normal conditions.

Sources from the film’s sets have said that Pritam’s remix is a very fast paced number which has to be accompanied with equally fast moves. In a statement to the media, Deepika said that she did feel pain while shooting but also flashed her beautiful smile showing the media that they were not going to miss her for long .

Salman Khan to replace Akshay Kumar

Salman Khan seems to be high on Tamil and Telugu remakes. In fact, the actor is so impressed by Telugu actor, Venkatesh’s in recent times released ‘Nagavalli’ that he wants to be part of its Hindi remake. ‘Nagavalli’ is a sequel of Telugu film ‘Chandramukhi’ which was made into a Hindi film, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’. According to an industry insider, Salman suggested to T-Series that ‘Nagavalli’ be made into a Hindi movie.

After all, it was T- Series that produced ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ and are now seriously considering re-making its sequel into Hindi as well.It so happens that Salman Khan shares a good rapport with T-Series, and is presently working on a movie of theirs titled ‘Ready’ – again a Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name.

If ‘Nagavalli’ is indeed remade into Hindi, and Salman Khan is signed on as the lead, he will be seen with five dissimilar actresses in the movie.

Bobby Deol upsets comedian Raju Srivastav

Bobby Deol’s role in Yamla Pagla Deewana is named Gajodhar. The on-going promotions of the comic caper that is slated to release in January, has him essay the role of a funny conman.And this has irritated stand-up comic Raju Srivastav. He says, “Bobby Deol may be playing the act of Gajodhar in the film.But this name has been given by me and the whole country knows me as Gajodhar bhaiya.”He adds, “The makers have used my common character without my permission and knowledge. I am hurt. No one has the right to grab my bread and butter like this.”

A source from the film’s production house however maintains, “The name has been given to Bobby’s role because it fit his screen character.No one thought of anything else or wanted to offend anybody. And no one has a copyright on the name.Anybody can name anybody to their liking.” When asked about the controversy, the film’s publicist maintains, “We have heard that Raju has raised an objection but we do not want to say anything.”

Will Saif pop the question to Bebo?

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has the perfect New Year gift in mind for Kareena Kapoor. The Chhote Nawab is planning to whisk away his girlfriend for a romantic getaway to Switzerland, where the two will bring in the New Year together.The year’s ended on a happy note for Kareena – whose Golmaal 3 is one of the largest hits this year.

And as a reward for all the hard work, the couple will be treating themselves to an indulgent vacation. “It’ll be all play and no work,” says Saif. “We’ve had a super-busy year and we want to bring in the New Year leaving aside all work responsibilities,” he adds.

Though the two have just returned from London, it was hardly a vacation there, discloses Saif.

Salman Khan gets quiet beating

Surprise, if Bhansali has found a fresh and different way to attack Salman Khan for having given remarks for his movie ‘Guzaarish’ on ‘Bigg Boss.’ A Mumbai local tabloid has posted an article, with Bhansali’s most liked reporter claiming that “Bhojpuri celebrity Manoj Tiwari blames Salman Khan for his ouster from Bigg Boss 4.”

The article says that Tiwari believes his ouster against Ashmit Patel was a “slap on his face, given his thousands of supporters.”That’s not all! It says, Tiwari has now supposed that the song in  Dabangg has been plagiarized from a song of a late composer.

The article adds that an insulted Tiwari has deputed his men “to track down composer’s family who live somewhere in Delhi. He has taken up the task of getting them ‘justice’ from the Khans.”

Deepika to play Bachchan’s daughter

Prakash Jha cast the actress Deepika Padukone as the Big B’s beti in his next, Aarakshan. Two other top actresses were being considered for the part. And initially, Jha even thought of casting a newbie.What clinched the role for Padukone was her height and demeanour, reveals a source.This will be Deepika Padukone’s first movie with both Jha and Big B.

Shooting starts in Bhopal soon. Interestingly, it is also the location where Jha based his last film Raajneeti featuring the actress’ ex, Ranbir Kapoor.How he zeroed in on Deepika is quite a story. “I started to flesh out the part, make it more dramatic.

That’s when I thought of Deepika in the character of Bachchan Saab’s daughter.

SRK goes Aamir Khan way

Shahrukh Khan must have lamented the truth that he skipped out on ‘3 Idiots’, the block buster movie that was influenced from Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Five Point Somebody’. SRK was first contacted for the character but after he turned it down the role fell into Aamir Khan’s lap and the rest, as they say, is history. Aamir Khan did wonders to ‘3 Idiots’  which was seriously borrowed from Chetan Bhagat’s book but strayed on events and in its main theme.

After having missed out on ‘3 Idiots’, Shahrukh is not in the mood to let go of the chance gain. Apparently, SRK has signed ‘Two States’, a movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s another book by the same name. The film shall be directed by the acclaimed Vishal Bhardwaj and Sajid Nadiadwala is producing the project.Initially, Sajid was contemplating Priyanka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan as the lead celebrities with Siddharth Anand to direct the venture. But may be, the disastrous fate of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ has prompted Sajid to change his mind.

Getting SRK and Vishal onboard is the best thing a producer can ask for! The film is inspired from the real life story of Chetan Bhagat and is a love story about a Punjabi man and a South Indian girl. Shahrukh has apparently loved the plot and has given his nod to the movie. As for the actress, it is speculated that a beginner may be cast opposite the Shahrukh Khan .

Kingfisher’s Calendar 2011 launched by Salman Khan

Bollywood actor Salman Khan launched the Kingfisher Calendar 2011here over the weekend.
“I have launched the Kingfisher calendar for the second time and I like Vijay Mallya. I think he is a great guy and whenever he will call me for anything, I’ll surely be present,” said Khan.
Renowned fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar shot the calendar at Le-touessork in Mauritius. It has six top swimsuit models.
“Well, the 2011 edition was shot in Mauritius. When we started the calendar in 2003, we shot in Mauritius, so it was a bit of a homecoming for us, which was nice. We shot in totally different parts of the country and the tourism authority has given us access to some unbelievable locations including the Casela Nature Park, where we shot with wild animals like cheetahs, lions and zebras,” said Kasbekar.
“We also shot at literally any place we wanted including Chamarel, which is an area of colour volcanic earth and they have never allowed anyone to shoot there except us. So, must be a nice shoot for Kingfisher,” he added.
Sidhartha Mallya, the owner of Kingfisher Airlines, said that all the models were outstanding and the winner Angela Johnson radiates all the quality that Kingfisherstands for.
“Well, it is superb. I mean it was very overwhelming to be surrounded by so many beautiful women. And each one of them had an outstanding quality in their own way. But unfortunately one could win and Angela was a very worthy winner. She is a stunningly good-looking girl. She is a very sweet person and she radiates all thatKingfisher stands for,” said Sidhartha Mallya.

Ranbir Kapoor voted as Sexiest Asian Man

The 'Rockstar' of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor has clinched the 'Sexiest Asian Man' title, beating off competition from favourites like John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan.

The Kapoor scion famous for his high-profile romances topped the survey conducted by the London weekly, Eastern Eye. "If the women didn't like me I would feel that something is going wrong, but it feels good. I do understand that the fans I have comprise mainly of women, it feels good to be wanted by so many women," said the 28-year-old actor.

Meanwhile, Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, said that the actor claimed the title with a overwhelming margin.

"Usually it is a closely fought contest, where as this year there was one very clear winner. Winning by a large margin is remarkable when you consider the very high profile men who are in the list," said Asjad.

Akshay returns to action roots with Prabhu Deva

Bollywood's original 'khiladi' Akshay Kumar's next will be a "big action movie" directed by Prabhu Deva.

The 43-year-old actor is in London to promote his much awaited comic caper 'Tees Maar Khan, where he stars alongside Katrina Kaif.

"My next film will be a big action movie, produced by Prabhu Deva, the south-indian actor-choreographer and filmmaker," said Akshay.

In 'Tees Maar Khan', Akshay Kumar plays a shameless con man, Tabrez Mirza Khan aka Tees Maar Khan aka TMK, in a role inspired by English folklore hero Robin Hood. "He steals and cheats with alarming audacity with his gang comprising of Dollar, Soda and Burger," said the film's director Farah Khan, whose previous two films 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Om Shanti Om' have been blockbusters.

Akshay's partner in crime is Katrina who plays Anya, a wannabe actress, who sizzles on screen with 'Sheila Ki Jawaani', which has already become a chartbuster.

TMK is aided by an unwitting accomplice, actor Atish kapoor played by Akshaye Khanna and joined by fellow Bollywood showmen, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor, in special cameos.

The film which be will released globally with 2,500 prints on Wednesday, was filmed in 58 days,Farah said.

She said directing the climax of the film where Akshay robs antiques worth 500 crore rupees from a heavily guarded, moving train, was the most challenging job.

"We created the whole train and a 2 km track and it was the most difficult task," she said.

Shah Rukh will take 28 TV stars out of their comfort zone to battle out each other in an obstacle course set in Argentina. The participants on the show include Akashdeep Saigal, Amit Sareen, Ashima Bhalla, Bakhtiyaar Irani, Claudia Ciesla, Debina Bonnerjee, Gaurav Chopraa, Jennifer Winget, Karishma Tanna, Kushal Punjabi, Narayani Shastri, Natasha Suri, Payal Rohatgi, Priyadarshani Singh, Raja Chaudhary, Rohit Verma, Simran Kaur Mundi among others.

They will be challenged by Shah Rukh to a series of hilarious tasks.

The prize money is worth Rs 1.5 crore, including a mega cash prize for the winner of the finale.

Known for his perfect comic timing and snazzy dialogues, Shah Rukh will add spunk to the show.

"I'm looking forward to being a super funny host-commentator. In fact, my children and I have watched the international version often and really loved it. I am sure to 'Wipeout' all your worries and make you have loads of fun," said Shah Rukh, who earlier hosted shows like 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?'. 

Sameer Nair, CEO of Turner General Entertainment Networks India Pvt Ltd, says the show will be a hit among all age groups.

"Simply put, it is an outstanding entertainer...something that the whole family can watch together. The combination of a super starhost, bizarrely challenging obstacles, enthusiastic and competitive contestants and a whole lot of bloopers will make this show a must watch, night after night," said Nair.

The shooting will begin in Argentina in January.

Salman Khan spent 3 days on a tree

A simple scene for the film’ Ready’ turned out to be a nightmare for lead actors Asin and Salman Khan. The scene involved Asin lost in a jungle and scampering up a tree with Khan following suit. The tree was pretty massive and Asin decided to climb the tree herself.

Though everybody found it dangerous and unsafe, but finally every person agreed and a harness was attached and she was lowered on to the tree. Salman Khan followed the suit, but to their horror the shoot went on for 3 long days.

There were numerous distractions and Asin’s shoulders went numb because of the pressure from the harness. But, Asin is excited as it was her childhood fantasy to climb a tree. So, finally her dreams came true but with a serious cost.

Salman and Asin in Rs 2.5 crore shaadi song

Film Ready, featuring Salman Khan and Asin, every song sequence in the movie is touted to be a highlight. Bhushan Kumar, who is producing it, has spent more than Rs 2.5 crore.The head honcho of T-Series, under which Kumar is making the film in association with Rajat Rawail, says that so far item songs have always been identified with gorgeous girls.“This one features the entire family celebrating the marriage of the lead characters, played by Salman bhai and Asin.

Kumar goes on to explain that since Ready, a romantic comedy with a few action sequences, is targeted at a family audience, it seemed imperative to have a suitable song. “And since a music company is producing it, the number has to be larger than life,” he says, adding, that the situation in the movie helped them conceptualise the song sequence.

Art director Rajat Podar started working on the extravagant and sprawling set at Film City, Goregaon, last month and it took choreographers Chinni Prakash and Mudassar six days to shoot the song.

Suitcases issues for Aishwarya

Actress Aishwarya Rai had a unpleasant situation at the Chennai airport terminal as it was informed to her that baggage from New Delhi, where she was doing a advertising event, was not loaded on the plane.Though the airlines accepted their error, Aishwarya Rai  was in a soup as there were no clothes available to her to wear for the event she had gone to attend in the South Indian city. She maintained her calm through all this and also advised to the organisers that she would go for the do in her track suit which is what she was wearing.At last her manager and the organisers went for a mad dash to the city to search for an ensemble that fits her.

They found a designer store and also got her a few local shoes. Aishwarya Rai got outfitted and went to the event which was in a mall and the crowds went bersek. Angelina-Brad likely to tie knot in Jodhpur,India

This time, no less than Hollywood's power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are set to tie the knot amid the chanting of mantras in India and an ashram in Rajasthan could be the venue for their Hindu wedding ceremony, sources say!

"Jolie, 35, and Pitt, 46, will marry in the New Year and Siddha GuruRam Lalji Siyag of Bikaner will conduct the ceremony," a source close to the guru said.

He said though the date has so far not been finalised, chances are the wedding will take place in the ashram known as Adhyatma Vigyan Satsang Kendra of Guru Siyag, 83. It is situated in Chopsani area of Jodhpur.

"Guruji was asked to perform the rituals in a five star hotel situated in the city, but he refused to hold the ceremony there and suggested it could take place in his ashram," he said the guests of the celebrities can stay in a resort near the ashram.

"We are waiting for a reply from the couple on this," he added.

According to the source, Guru Siyag has been helping the couple find inner peace and harmony and strengthening their nearly five-year relationship by making them practice Siddha yoga together.
