Shetty, riding high on the crest of popularity post 'Golmaal 3,' is all set to craft the Hindi remake of the South winner 'Singam' featuring Suriya. All enthused over the subject, the director and his fave actor pal are all gung ho over it… though they've been wracking their heads over the casting of the female lead alongside Devgn.
Reportedly, the duo was all keen to showcase a new find actress, though matters were simply not falling into place. After much discussion and deliberation, they finally zeroed in on casting Anushka Shetty, a leading star of South cinema.
Word has it that the South gal responded with eagerness when the offer showed up at her doorstep. And it was familiar territory for her, considering that Anushka had essayed the lead in the original too.
