Salman Khan to launch Rahul Bhatt

 The Dabangg of Bollywood, Salmaan Khan is planning to launch Mahesh Bhatt’s taciturn son Rahul Bhatt in an action film.

Bhai (as Salman is known in the industry) befriended Bhatt Jr during his stay in the Bigg Boss house, has now taken him under his wing. Sallu has even begun to advise Rahul on his life and career and told him to get lean.

Apparently, Khan feels that Rahul needs to shed his beefy look that doesn't quite match his vulnerable face. The older actor also believes that an actioner would be the best launch vehicle for the Bhatt boy.

It's just not in the boy's personality to piggyride on his father's name. He is fighting hard to shrug off the label of just being his father's son."

According to a source, Rahul will be part of Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2 as well. He chooses to play down his excitement at finally being launched and that too by Sallu.

"Yes, Salmanbhai is working on something for me. I trust him completely. He says action and emotion are my forte. I believe that. We're both on the same page. And that's a relief."

With a promise of entertaining the youth, debutant director Danish Aslam tries to offer you an old story with some new twists and turns incorporated in it. However, you will enjoy the chemistry between the two young leads Imran Khan as Abhay and Deepika Padukone as Aaliya. They are childhood sweethearts, who share their first kiss when they watch kuch kuch hota hai for the third time. So, it’s genuinely a love story but with some added fun elements.

Aaliya is ambitious, gorgeous and stubborn while Abhay is aimless in his life. For Aaliya, love is not everything and wants to be a renowned actress. But they can’t stay without each other even when they fight. You must have seen her saying ‘Main Shah Rukh Khan hu’ during the promos and that is one funny seen where she is totally drunk. Even though, she is insensitive sometimes but knows Abhay is the strong pillar of her life.
To fulfill her ambition, Aaliya leaves for Australia and Abhay follows her. Here, you can see some funny but confusing scenes between them. Finally, Lillette Dubey enters the scene and she does not mind calling Aalia ‘chudail’ even when she has divorced thrice in her own life.
It has a soulful music and a story that youth can relate to. So, it’s not a bad idea to watch the movie during this weekend with friends!

This is the first time that the actor is playing the role of a villain in a movie. His role in the movie is very mercurial, edgy and stylised. Anil too was thinking about his role for the last month and after much contemplation, he chose to go completely bald.”

News has it that Anil wanted the character to be at par with the classic villains like Mogambo and Shakaal played on screen before.

Shah Rukh to play Leonardo’s role in the remake of ‘The Departed’

Shah Rukh might have given his nod to work with ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj but he wants to assure that their project is nothing short of a blockbuster. So now, the director-actor team has decided to copy a Hollywood super-hit to make sure they don’t go wrong. 
As per reports, the two have struck a deal to make the official remake of Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Departed’, with SRK reprising the role of a cop originally played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

According to sources, SRK and Bhardwaj are keen on a joint production that will be the remake of ‘The Departed’. As of now the two are working out on the nitty-gritty’s to get the official rights from the international production house. As for Matt Damon`s role in the film, the two are yet to decide on an Indian actor for the remake.

However, presently the two taskmasters are busy with their other projects. While Shah Rukh is occupied with ‘Don 2’ and ‘Ra.One’, Vishal is completely dedicated to his film ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’. Sources suggest that the work on SRK-Bhardwaj’s joint film will only start towards the end of 2011.

Despite two court summons, actors Prabhu Deva and Nayantara failed to appear for the third consecutive hearing at Chennai Family Court on Tuesday in connection with a petition filed by Prabhu Deva's wife Ramalatha, seeking to restitute her conjugal rights and to restrain Prabhu Deva and Nayantara from getting married. Hence the principal judge of the family court, S. Meenakshisundaram ordered service of fresh notice on the actors through court, post and also through courier. He then adjourned the matter to January 21 for further proceedings. Ramalatha was also not seen at the court as she was unwell. (Sources say that Ramalatha is in hospital after her recent suicide attempt.)

Amitabh Bachchan turns farmer!!!

Accompanied by his wife Jaya and a few other people, Big B drove down to the village in the afternoon. He hopped on to the tractor and drove it for about 20 minutes over the 2.4 hectare plot both owned by him and his wife.Actor Amitabh Bachchan Wednesday astonished everybody when he drove a tractor on the agricultural land that he had purchased a few months ago in Muzaffarnagar village near Kakori, about 30 km from Lucknow.

He had also bought another adjoining plot of about the same size in the name of his actor son Abhishek. Both the deals took place in June for a total cost of about Rs.3 crore.!!
