'Emraan has no kissing but almost a rape scene' : Dibakar

He's earned his stripes as a moviemaker of merit. And he's all set to showcase a certain 'Serial Smoocher', rather differently. Dibakar Banerjee kickstarts 'Shanghai' (PVR Pictures) in April 2011, showcasing Emraan Hashmi and will present him as a rather slezoid character.

"You won't see Emraan in the suave manner that he is usually seen in his movies," states Dibakar. "In my film, Emraan plays Joginder, who shoots sleazy videos, uses a run down scooter and is on the run for his life! I've taken him right into the heat and dust of a hellish Indian small town and its deadly politics."

Query him on whether he will get the veteran kisser to buss his female lead, Dibakar states, "No, Emraan won't be kissing… but he has close to a rape scene in the film."

The male leads: Abhay Deol and Hashmi are in place, though Dibakar has still to zero in on the choice of female lead which he states could "be an established heroine or a new girl."

"The girl's character is a very angry and alienated character," states Dibakar. "She is extremely beautiful and she hates that fact because she has never set much store by her beauty. She knows that her beauty comes in the way of everything. She is not taken very seriously and she is very intense and therefore very idealistic."
